Welcome to my blog. I hope to become one of the resources in the UK for those aspiring to become Financially Independent and Retire Early (i.e. FIRE). I share my experiences and lessons learned along the way and hopefully we can achieve FIRE together.

About Me

I am a 32 year old male originally from the East coast of Scotland. I now live in Newcastle where I moved for work about 9 years ago. In Newcastle, I was lucky enough to meet my lovely Polish (although now also British) wife who I now live with by the seaside. We are both on this journey together and support each other with our goal of achieving FIRE. The key for us is living intentionally (hence the site name) where you spend money on things you believe bring value but also keep in mind the future goals you want to achieve.

I started reading about the FIRE movement in 2020 and I have been hooked ever since. It is a life strategy that really resonates with me and hence why I am so passionate about sharing my journey and hopefully inspiring others whilst keeping myself accountable. There are also less content creators that relate to FIRE in the UK (when compared to the US) so I wanted to try and bring a little bit of UK spice to the FIRE community.

Other than FIRE, my interests are hiking (and being outdoors), golfing (I am a 10 handicapper) and just enjoying life (travelling, socialising, etc.).
